I love this. AHHHH Yes, seek the LORD immediately. Oh Jesus, may we always turn our gaze on you with "all the things." Even if we do not have time to write, or life is full, or we are sad, or we are happy, or whatever it is... let us always turn our eyes on you. Amen to amen.
I really enjoyed this artful poem. Especially loved way the lines seem to ebb and flow with the alternating syllable lengths, and still maintain consistent rhyming scheme.
(Also, the fear that writing too often might make me run out of things to write about is all too familiar)
Love the archaic vibe!
Me too! :)
“Horizon’s steed” love it-this poem reminds me of the one I just posted as well-such a burn to do the beautiful thing, and so little time to do it
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it - and thank you for the restack!
That first verse has a lovely rhythm + rhyme going!
Thank you, sir!
Yet God alone
has right to lead.
My soul, behold his mighty throne!
His mind exceeds
Whate’er I’ve known,
and so I’ll seek his face anon.....
